P2. Animation Comparison

making of dot

for the making of dot a 3D printer was made to make over 150 small figures for dot(50 for each different post and 3 back up for each pose)

for each frame they took one photo of the dot figure running though the wonder land, they could make about 4-5 seconds per day at the speed they where going at and they couldn't go any faster, all the photo's where taken with a nokia phone,

the printer makes dot and what they do they had to was attach it to fine wire and then for painting they had to stop breather for a few seconds so they could paint dot,

making of south park

they have 6 days to make a brand new episode so the story board/design gets given a small portion of the script and they have to make each action into a camera shoots and build it up like a comic book, and they have like an hour per 6-7 pages.

each character is built like a puppet so they characters can be moved(but if its s special type of moment the design guys have to do that movement)

matt and trey go into the recording studio half a dozen times per week and they take 23 minuets to do a 22 minuet script, it is then taken to editing where the hole prodject can be put together into an episode

peppa pig
the 2D animation style of peppa pig is designed in a way so that it makes the animation look like is has been made by young children(which is the shows target audience. using CelAction 2D program.
as always in the animation process the script is written first to get a story outline for one of the 5 minute long peepa pig episodes. then they move onto creating a rouge sketch of the charters for the episode and the storyboard, then the actual episode is made using CelAction 2D, they the voice acting is done and the episode it put together with the voices, then sound is added and they just a phase of fixing it up before its ready to be published
